Might & Magic: Heroes VI developed by Ubisoft for the PC is the prequel to Heroes of Might & Magic V, but whilst preserving the initial schematics of previous games,
some fundamental changes have also been made. For example, the game now
features one hero class, whose skills are evenly distributed throughout and the
replacement of the magic guild. These innovations and tweaks to the gameplay allow for a more challenging character development and an exciting step away from the
formula within previous games.
The story is set in the legendary world of Ashan where an
Archangel General is resurrected after his demise during the Elder Wars. His
elaborate plan to regain his power by taking control of Ashan and thwart a
Demon invasion is hindered by the Griffin dynasty. The death of the leader of
the dynasty results in five children being left behind, which constitute the
five factions that influence the moral compass of the game.
A turn-based strategy game that must be seen to be believed,
Might & Magic Heroes VI for the PC is a great addition to any collection.
