Where do we deliver to?

Small Items

For smaller items delivery is to addresses in the United Kingdom only. This excludes the Channel Islands, we also exclude BFPO (British Forces Post Office) addresses.

Large items

We can deliver all large items to Mainland UK and the following islands:
Isle of Skye,
Isle of Sheppey,
Angelsey,
Isle of Wight

We are unable to deliver large items to any other islands (e.g. the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man), we also exclude BFPO (British Forces Post Office) addresses.

Home delivery

Products, such as Laptops, iPods and Tom Toms are generally delivered either by courier or sometimes by post. If your product is one which is delivered by courier, you may be given the option of choosing a premium delivery service for a small extra charge during the order process.

Larger products such as some large screen TVs and similar items are generally delivered by our own delivery service. For these larger products you will be asked or told about delivery dates for standard delivery as part of the order process.

We will notify you which delivery method we will use when we send you the Order Confirmation email. Very occasionally different products with the same delivery method may be delivered separately.

Small Products – Standard Courier Delivery

For small products our standard delivery is Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), generally from 9am to 5pm, and we aim to get your purchase to you within 3 working days if you order before 12.00pm or 4 days for all orders after 12.00 pm.  For extended Bank Holiday periods such as Christmas and Easter please allow 4-7 working days.

Small Products - Premium Courier Delivery Services

We also offer a premium delivery service, available from Monday to Saturday (subject to availability) in a timed slot of your choice with delivery from 4 days after the date you place your order, this is available at checkout.

Tracking Your Order

If your order is being delivered by courier you can track your parcel by clicking on the link in your Order Confirmation email.  All deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives, the courier will leave a card with a contact number for you to call.

If your item is being delivered by Royal Mail you will be unable to track the delivery but should expect your order in the post within the next few days after your order is placed.

Online Orders for large items

All deliveries for large items are free and include collection of your old appliance for recycling, if selected when ordering.

N.B. Your old appliance should be safely disconnected prior to our arrival.

Delivery is 7 days a week, usually from 8am to 8pm and we aim to get your purchase to you within 4 working days. You will be allocated a 4 hour delivery time window, which can be obtained after 9pm the night before your delivery is due. To retrieve this you will need your delivery order reference number, which we email to you. All you need to do is go to http://support.thetechguys.com/pdt and key in your reference number. Alternatively, you can call our automated home delivery line on 0844 561 7000.
It is also very important to give two good contact numbers as our drivers may contact you ½ hour before the delivery is due to take place.

Delayed Delivery Orders

On selected large products, we offer the option to order an item in advance. That means that we have run out of stock but we know that more is on its way to our distribution centre. On the site, we will tell you the date that we expect delivery to be available from

Orders with different availabilities and delivery methods

Different delivery methods

If you purchase two or more items and they have different availabilities, you may be able to get your items individually as soon as they become available.  We do everything we can to meet our delivery times. However, delivery times may be affected by:

•    deliveries to the Scottish Islands
•    peak ordering periods

we will let you know if we become aware of any unexpected delays

Installation, collection, recycling information

Our installation services are provided to get your new purchase up and working at the same time as delivery. One of the benefits of purchasing installation is that we’ll also disconnect your old appliance for you and then take it away for recycling.
