We will take away and recycle your unwanted electrical products completely free of charge, saving you the time and trouble of taking your old appliances away yourself. It’s better for the environment too.
Our home delivery team can collect your TVs (37" or above) when they deliver your new one. Currently smaller items cannot be taken away upon delivery of new goods, but these can be taken into our store, and it doesn''t matter if you didn''t purchase the product from our stores - we''ll still take it back.
What do I need to do to ensure my old appliances are ready for you to take away?
* Unless you have purchased one of our installation services you will have to ensure your old appliance is empty and safely disconnected
What if my new appliance is coming direct from the manufacturer (Supplier Home Delivery,) will I still get free collection?
Unfortunately we cannot offer free collection on Supplier Home Delivery products though they are still able to take your old one away for a charge (varies by Supplier).
How will I know whether the new products I buy can be recycled?
All new electrical and electronic products sold now carry the ‘crossed out wheelie bin’ logo to help you identify which products are recyclable.
What happens to old appliances?
The products are sent to our recycling centre and around 85% of the materials are recycled.
Why should waste electrical goods be recycled?
Recycling unwanted electrical products is better for the environment. Over 75% of waste electrical goods end up in landfill, where lead and other toxins contained in electrical goods can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a very harmful effect on the natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. When situated near populated areas these toxins can cause problems to communities as their water and soil is polluted.
Next day delivery available in mainland UK for orders placed before 3pm (2pm Scotland and Northern Ireland). Excludes on-line/telephone orders and items supplied direct from the manufacturer.
