Not only do we deliver your new product for you but we can install and connect it up as well, ensuring that when our experts leave, you are ready to enjoy your new purchase right away and for years to come. The following section explains how KNOWHOW™ can help you:

SET UP & UPGRADE SERVICES IN OUR STORES:

GETTING READY FOR YOUR INSTALLATION:

Installing large screen TVs can be a little daunting, but KNOWHOW™ has a team of fully trained expert TV installers around the UK ready and waiting to help you.


KNOWHOW™ installation services are available when you buy a large screen TV from PC World:

 

  • Full installation of new TV when we deliver to your home
  • Qualified, experienced installation team
  • Available 7 days a week at a time to suit you

Our installation teams cover most of the UK and will install your new appliance on the day we deliver it. You can sit back and relax knowing that we’ll take care of everything.

GETTING READY FOR YOUR INSTALLATION:

There are a few things you need to do before the KNOWHOW™ team arrive to install your appliance:

  • Make sure our team can safely access your property and there are no obstructions
  • Be at home at the time we’ve arranged to arrive; if you can’t then someone over the age of 18 will need to present

WHAT WE CAN INSTALL:

KNOWHOW™ has two types of TV installation service. Our services are available when you buy your new large screen TV from PC World stores or online.

TV WALL MOUNT & DEMO - (AVAILABLE IN-STORE ONLY)

If you’re looking for a great home cinema experience with your flat screen TV then our wall mount service is just for you. Our expert installers can secure your TV to the wall and hook up your DVD player, Sky box, games consoles, home cinema system and other gadgets easily - all that is left for you to do is sit back and enjoy the experience.

Our TV wall mount installation service is only available when you buy a new TV and wall mount bracket from PC World. Ask an in-store colleague at PC World  for more information when you buy your new flat screen TV, or research online.

FEATURES

Our TV wall mount service is all you need to get your new flat screen TV ready for viewing. Here’s how the service works:

Before we visit please check the following:

  • You are at home (or another adult over 18) is at home at the time we’ve agreed to visit
  • Your TV is suitable for wall mounting (check your user guide manual)
  • You have purchased a wall bracket suitable for your TV size
  • Check that you have all the parts, screws and other bits and pieces for your TV and stand
  • Have all the necessary accessories and cables (SCART, AV, HDMI etc)
  • The wall you want to use is robust - large TVs can’t always be mounted on stud walls

On the day we visit we will:

  • Have a chat with you about how you’d like your new TV setup and offer some advice if you need it
  • Unpack your TV and take the box away to recycle (no need to fill up your recycling bin)
  • Mount your TV safely to the wall using your mounting bracket
  • Connect all your devices together then tidy and hide the cables for you
  • Give you a demonstration of the basic features of your new TV

WHAT ISN’T COVERED

We want to make sure you know what isn’t covered by our TV wall mount installation service so there are no surprises when we visit you at home:

  • We won’t personalise or optimise picture quality
  • We can’t connect your TV or other equipment to your home computer network - you will need to purchase our Network Set Up and Secure service for this

We can’t refund this service if:

  • You haven’t completed the necessary pre-visit preparations above
  • Additional work is required to complete the installation that we don’t cover above

TV SET UP & DEMO

The thrill of buying a brand new TV is amazing, but can be short-lived when you realise you need to tackle a mountain of cables or a cumbersome stand before you can enjoy your purchase. Relax, and let KNOWHOW team of experts get it sorted for you with our TV Set Up & Demo service.

We can come to your home on a day to suit you, assemble your TV stand and get you hooked up ready to view, with all the cabling neatly organised around the back.

Our installation service is only available when you buy a new 40" TV or larger from PC World. Ask an in-store colleague at PC World  for more information when you buy your new flat screen TV, or research online.

Our TV Set Up & Demo service is all you need to get your new flat screen TV ready for viewing, here’s how the service works: Before we visit please check the following:

  • You are at home (or another adult over 18) is at home at the time we’ve agreed to visit
  • Check that you have all the parts, screws and other bits and pieces for your TV and stand
  • Have all the necessary accessories and cables (SCART, AV, HDMI etc)

On the day we visit you, we will:

  • Have a chat with you about how you’d like your new TV setup and offer some advice if you need it

  • Build the stand and set your TV on it
  • Connect all your devices together and tidy the cables for you
  • Demonstrate the main features of your new TV
