The MacBook Air is thinner than any other notebook, measuring just 0.16” at its thinnest point and only 0.76” at its thickest…..its unbelievably thin!
As well as being thin, the MacBook Air is also light. Weighing only 1.36kg, it is one of the lightest notebooks around.
Despite being so unbelievably thin, the Air still is crammed with features. As well as the full size back lit keyboard (Apple’s best ever!) It has a full size 13.3” widescreen LED display. Being LED the screen saves power and it is also instant on with full brightness.
Once again, despite being so thin and light the Air refuses to compromise on power and performance. They have work closely with Intel to product a Core 2 Duo chip that is 60% smaller than the standard model but still packs all the power. That’s why the Air comes with a 1.6GHz processor.

![]() In order to keep the size of this notebook to a minimum, Apple have left out the optical drive. However customers shouldn’t worry. If they need an optical drive then they can purchase a external MacBook Air Superdrive for around £70 extra. However the MacBook Air has a sensational feature called “remote disc”. This allows MacBook Air to wirelessly borrow the optical drive from another PC or Mac inorder to download software

As well as incorporating a generous tracking pad (which most ultra mobile notebooks compromise on) the MacBook Air’s tracking pad also has intuitive gestures. Just like the iPod touch or iPhone customers can rotate photos, scan through their collection, zoom in or out on photos and application and more simply through configuring the tracking pad. This makes life much easier and is great fun.

Built into the chassis the integrated webcam and mic make the Air perfect for video conferencing or simply fooling around on iPhoto and iChat. |
