The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 Black Digital Camera holds a powerful but intuitive spec that both the amateur and slightly more experienced photographer can master.
Powered by the impressive Venus Engine IV image processor you can enjoy crisp, clear and clean images of great detail. This detail is retained even when you print off poster sized photos thanks to a 10 million pixel picture resolution.
Working alongside this engine is the 27-486mm f2.8 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT Lens, which gives you the opportunity to capture all types of photos from sweeping landscapes to stunning portraits.
Thanks to MEGA Optical Image Stabilisation technology in your Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 you can enjoy razor sharp pictures when shooting at any focal length. Light Detection automatically analyses your shot and adjusts the brightness of any areas that are dark or dimly lit so it’s never lost in darkness.
On top of this, Face Detection Technology automatically finds faces in your frame and adjusts the exposure and focus to give you optimal results. It can do this with up to 15 faces in a photo, making it ideal for group and family portraits.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 Black Digital Camera also allows you to record HD video with a 16:9 Aspect Ratio so you can capture all of those special moments exactly as they happen.
| Benefit | ||
| Picture Resolution | 10 million pixels | Resolution refers to the number of pixels (picture elements) that make up an image. The more pixels will mean a better quality of print |
| Optical Zoom | 18 times magnification | Optical zoom is most important. When you move the lens optical zoom magnifies and also maintains the image quality |
| Motion picture recording | YES | Allows you to record short video footage with audio |
| LCD Screen Size | 2.7 inches | Size of the LCD screen measured diagonally across the screen |
| LCD Screen | YES | The LCD on the back of digital cameras is an indispensable help. You can use it to compose your photos and for instant replays of photos you've already taken |
| Memory Type | SD | |
| Aperture/Shutter priority | YES | Under the aperture/ shutter priority mode, you select an aperture and the camera chooses an appropriate shutter speed. The main purpose of using this mode is to control the zone of acceptable sharpness |
| Continous shooting mode | YES | The camera will continue to take photographs whilst the shutter button is depressed. Ideal for capturing sports events |
| USB Connection | YES | These cameras plug directly into a port on your PC with an appropriate USB cable |
| Video Output | YES | Allows you to connect from your camera to TV so you can see your pictures on your TV |
| Digital Zoom | 4 times magnification | Digital zoom uses the "electronic brain" within the camera to digitally zoom in, the higher the digital zoom the closer you can get |
| Resolution Settings | 51 | More pixels on the CCD mean a higher-resolution image. Greater resolution translates to bigger, more detailed prints from those images |
| Manual Exposure | YES | This functionality allows you to manually override the exposure |
| Manual Focus | YES | Essential for situations when the auto focus can¿t cope such as shooting through a window or when you want to concentrate on something closer to the lens than the main subject |

PC World offers you 2 easy ways to shop online, you can either choose to have your item delivered or Collect at store. The availability of a product is shown at the top of this page - you can then choose your preferred option when you confirm your order.
Collect@Store allows you to see which stores have your product in stock and ask for it to be reserved for you to collect, saving money and time on delivery. You will then have until the end of the next trading day to collect and pay for your items from your nearest PC World store.
Delivery must be to an address in the United Kingdom (but excluding the Channel Islands and, for some larger items, the Isle of Man, Anglesey, The Scilly Isles and the Scottish islands). All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox).
Our delivery charge depends on the type of product ordered and whether you choose standard delivery (7 working days), or a premium. You only pay one delivery charge, irrespective of the number of products ordered. If you order two or more products which fall into different categories, the higher charge applies. The applicable standard delivery charge is shown on each product page and all charges will be visible before submitting your order . There are additional charges if you choose a premium delivery service. You will always be able to see all applicable charges before submitting your order.
Delivery times are calculated in working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (but excluding Bank Holidays). If you order after 3.00pm, please calculate your delivery time as if your order had been placed the following working day. For next week day delivery (if available) please order before 10:00am.
Standard Postal and Courier Deliveries, normally 7 Working Days. Standard postal and courier deliveries should arrive within 7 working days of placing your order (to be safe, please allow a little extra during busy sales periods).
If you choose a product which is delivered by courier, you may be offered the option of paying a small extra charge for a premium delivery service. In this case, your product will be delivered on the date and during any time slot specified. Premium delivery is not available for products delivered direct from the supplier. All deliveries must be signed for.
If we are sending your product by courier, our third e-mail to you will contain a link to the courier's website, and a parcel number, so that you can track your order right to your doorstep. Standard courier deliveries are usually made between 9am and 5pm. All deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives, the courier will leave a card with a contact number for you to call.
Our Home Delivery Service - normaly 7 Days If you choose a product which is delivered by our home delivery service ( excluding items delivered direct from supplier) you will be able to choose preferred delivery dates when you order. We will make every effort to deliver in line with your preferences. We will contact you beforehand to confirm the delivery date and, if possible inform you if you have an morning or afternoon delivery slot.
Products marked with a van logo are delivered direct from the supplier, subject to availability. Some are made to order. Some can only be delivered to mainland Great Britain addresses. You will be contacted by phone or email to confirm precise details. As a rule of thumb, please allow up to 28 calendar days for delivery, unless product page says otherwise.
We do everything we can to meet the delivery times specified in this section. However, occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control ( eg. problems obtaining authorisation for your payment ) and therefore they cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay.
Please allow extra time for deliveries to Scottish islands or if you apply for credit (we need to receive your signed application form back before we can process your order; this can add 7 working days). We will notify you which delivery method we will use when we send you our third e-mail. Very occasionally different products in the same order may be delivered separately.
